The Nepalayan is derived from Himalayan Persian or Pointed Exotic cats hybridised with the Clippercat – New Zealand’s native Polydactyl cat.
This breed is Pointed in Pattern, well balanced and of muscular build with a maximum of eight claws on the front paws, and seven claws on the rear paws. A symmetrical number of toes on both front and rear paws is preferred.
Nepalayans are bred in all traditional Himalayan colours and may be Shorthaired or Longhaired.
